Fair Oaks Man Charged with Wife’s Murder

Leland Jameson, 64, of Fair Oaks, is being held in jail without bond after being arrested for allegedly murdering his wife. Fairfax County police identified the victim as Chisen Jameson, 60.

According to police, late Sunday night, a 911 call taker with the Department of Public Safety Communications received a call for service from someone in the 12000 block of Washington Brice Road in Fair Oaks. Police say the call taker “could hear sounds consistent with a disturbance” before the line disconnected.

A second 911 call was received at 10:39 p.m. Police didn’t reveal who placed either call. Meanwhile, officers immediately responded to the first call at 10:21 p.m. When they arrived at the address from which it came, they found Chisen Jameson fatally wounded inside the home.

Police say she was “suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body” and was declared dead at the scene. Preliminarily, detectives reported that they determined her husband was the one who shot her. Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau then took Leland Jameson into custody and transported him to the Adult Detention Center.

He was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. At press time, detectives were still conducting interviews and processing evidence recovered from the scene to try to determine the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
